Hashawha - Labor Day Weekend 2026

The brothers and sisters of Family Ministries would be thrilled to have you gather with us again this coming Labor Day Weekend (Friday, September 4 through Monday, September 7, 2026) for a Family Retreat at Camp Hashawha near Westminster, Maryland.  Brother Ed Miller is planning to share with us about how Jacob’s life illustrates going from self-sufficiency to God-sufficiency.

TIMELINE
--Your response by June 1st will allow us to plan for the children’s classes and program.
--T-shirts have become an important part of camp.  Orders must be in by August 9.
--The camp requires an accurate count for meals two weeks before arrival.  Please complete your sign-ups by August 16th.
A release of liability form will be required to be filled out and returned.
Everyone must register, regardless of how many days you plan to attend or where you are sleeping!

COST
The cost for the weekend is $145 per person five years and older; children 4 years and under may attend for free.  For families living at the same address there is a maximum per family cost of $550.  A deposit of $30 per person is requested at the time of registration and can be deducted from total conference fees that are due.  This cost applies to everyone attending the camp, regardless of where you are sleeping. A love offering will be taken for Ed Miller during the conference.

The charges for the weekend will not cover our expected expenses for the retreat, however, our desire is that everyone is able to attend.  If you want to come and are unable to meet the financial costs we request that you allow the Lord to provide for you through the fellowship by noting your need on the registration form.  Anyone who feels led to give extra toward those needing assistance, please make a note on your form or check.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A worship service will be held on Friday at 8 p.m. (childcare will not be available during this time).  Meals and teaching times will begin Saturday morning.  *Please see tentative schedule below*

WHAT TO BRING
Remember to bring your own linens, towels, Bible and notebooks, highchairs, cribs, warm and rain clothing, and desired sports equipment.  We also request that each family bring a non-refrigerated snack and drink to share during our fellowship time in the evenings.  The camp has requested that no pets of any kind be allowed on their grounds.

Cabins: Designated male and female bunk cabins with bathrooms
Tent/RV: Bring your own tent or RV, bathrooms available in cabins. (no electricity or RV hook-ups)

NURSERY/TODDLERS/CHILDREN
Nurseries will be provided for infants through children 4 years of age during the teaching times. Parental participation and help from others attending the conference would be encouraged and appreciated. Please note on the registration form if you are willing to assist in the nursery.

Classes and activities will be provided for children 5 years old through 6th grade during the teaching times.  Teachers, craft workers and additional support are needed.  Please note on the registration form if you would like to help with this ministry.

SPORTS FACILITIES
In-ground pool, outdoor basketball, volleyball net and small softball field are available; however, equipment is not provided.  The grounds also feature an outdoor playground, nature trails and a lake for fishing.
